Claudia Sheinbaum, eventual candidate for the presidency of Mexico for the so-called Fourth Transformation, was in Los Angeles and spoke with Univision 34 about her vision of Mexicans on this side of the border and the security challenges in Mexico.

LOS ANGELES, California. - Mexicans must be recognized for their value not only for the economy of California, but for their economic contributions throughout the United States, as considered by the eventual presidential candidate and coordinator of the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum visited Los Angeles and spoke with Univision 34 about fundamental issues in terms of Mexico's relationship with the United States: migration, economy and security.

Mexicans are valuable to the United States economy

The eventual candidate of the so-called Fourth Transformation considered that the pillar of the relationship between Mexico and the United States in immigration issues has to start with the treatment with dignity of Mexicans who live on this side of the border.

He recognized that this relationship of dignity must also come from the government of Mexico, because for decades and with other governments prior to that of the current president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, migrants were not recognized with the relevance they deserve.

In this sense, the eventual candidate of the Mexican left pointed out that part of this treatment with dignity also has to do with the recognition that from California and throughout the United States is made of the contribution they make every day to the US economy.

"Mexicans and Mexicans who live, not only in California, but in the United States, not only have a fundamental weight for Mexico's economy because of the remittances they send, but they have a fundamental role in the United States economy," he said.

"And this is what we want to be recognized, that's why it is essential for us that Mexicans living in the United States be treated with dignity and insist on what immigration reform represents," Sheinbaum added to an express question from Univision 34... READ MORE

MEXICO CITY (proceso.com.mx).- On their visit to Los Angeles, California, United States, Mexican migrants demanded from the virtual presidential candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the elaboration of an immigration reform between the two countries and denounced deficiencies in the operation of the Mexican consulates in that country.

"Emigration reform, immigration reform!" several nationals shouted at him who attended the Million Dollar Theater on Saturday afternoon, located in the center of the city.

In her second presentation to Mexicans living in the neighboring northern country so far this year, - the first was last April in Denver, Colorado, when she received complaints about insecurity in the country - the former head of government of Mexico City had to ask for calm from the people who shouted at her and some chiflidos.

And he said: "I'm so excited! I don't know about you, but it's something stellar what we're experiencing today." People immediately chanted the already well-known "pre-si-den-ta!"

During his speech, he said that the so-called 4T movement fights "so that no Mexican or Mexican has the need to migrate to the United States to have a dignified life, we fight so that Mexicans in the United States also have all the rights, have access to health, education, that there is immigration reform in the United States."

Then, he unleashed the cries of some attendees: "Mmigrtory reform, immigration reform!" Seconds later, they changed the slogan: "We want to go back, we want to go back!" To get out of the mess, she answered them: "Well, how can they not want to return to a president like Andrés Manuel López Obrador?" ; but he no longer received the same praises.
