MEXICO CITY (proceso.com.mx).- On their visit to Los Angeles, California, United States, Mexican migrants demanded from the virtual presidential candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the elaboration of an immigration reform between the two countries and denounced deficiencies in the operation of the Mexican consulates in that country.

"Emigration reform, immigration reform!" several nationals shouted at him who attended the Million Dollar Theater on Saturday afternoon, located in the center of the city.

In her second presentation to Mexicans living in the neighboring northern country so far this year, - the first was last April in Denver, Colorado, when she received complaints about insecurity in the country - the former head of government of Mexico City had to ask for calm from the people who shouted at her and some chiflidos.

And he said: "I'm so excited! I don't know about you, but it's something stellar what we're experiencing today." People immediately chanted the already well-known "pre-si-den-ta!"

During his speech, he said that the so-called 4T movement fights "so that no Mexican or Mexican has the need to migrate to the United States to have a dignified life, we fight so that Mexicans in the United States also have all the rights, have access to health, education, that there is immigration reform in the United States."

Then, he unleashed the cries of some attendees: "Mmigrtory reform, immigration reform!" Seconds later, they changed the slogan: "We want to go back, we want to go back!" To get out of the mess, she answered them: "Well, how can they not want to return to a president like Andrés Manuel López Obrador?" ; but he no longer received the same praises.

California is the state of the American Union that concentrates the most Mexican migrants, with about 11.4 million, of the 26 million living in that country.

They booed operation of consulates

Before Sheinbaum, the national president of Morena, Mario Delgado, reported that "yesterday" the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) "reported that they can now go without an appointment to the consulates to ask for their credential from the INE."

And from there came the first rechiflas. The leader continued with the call to organize "and that we have a historic vote, so that they assert their right to vote. Are you going to help us with that? To organize migrants, to form committees? And we will be very aware that the INE gives the voter's credential to vote."

In her turn, the Morenoite listed three tasks for Mexican migrants in the United States: make 4T Defense Committees, talk to their families in Mexico to convince them to continue with the transformation and "you have to register at the consulates."
Again, the cries and complaints of the countrymen about their operation appeared. "It's closed!", "They don't give appointments!" it was heard. Sheinbaum reacted: "No, we requested it and there are no appointments anymore!" But the people continued with the complaint. The Morenoite was helped by two Morena officials who clarified what Delgado had already said.

To calm the spirits, Sheinbaum offered: "well, well, I'm going to talk to the president to tell him what they're telling us here." The screams continued and she tried to get out again by the tangent:

"Let's see, but, anyway, comrades, no one has said that the fight has been easy, right? Are they going to register, yes or no?... you have to get the credential to vote."

Faced with the unstoppable claims, she insisted: "Let's see, that's something else! We are already going to talk about the proposals and strengthening the consulates, but we have before another task that is to make a historical participation of the Mexicans to decide next year that the transformation will continue."

"They are afraid!"

As he began to do this week during his visits to the states of the country, Sheinbaum Pardo reproached the migrants for the precautionary measures imposed on him by the INE to carry out his mass events. He said that for that reason the event was held at the Million Dollar Theater and not in Plaza Olvera, where Andrés Manuel López Obrador had once performed.

The mere mention of the INE raised the "buuu!" of the attendees and then, the already known "It's an honor to be with Obrador!"

Then, the Morenoite recalled the so-called Plan C, Sheinbaum Pardo told migrants that in the 2024 elections you have to win not only the Presidency, but two-thirds of the Chamber of Deputies and Senators "because we want more democracy in the country."

And there fit the Obrador discourse to reform the Judiciary: "Here even the representative of a Water Council is elected, here the local judges are elected, right or not? Well, then why aren't the judges going to be elected in Mexico by popular vote? Why aren't the ministers of the Supreme Court going to be elected by popular vote?"

Alebrestados, the migrants threw: "They are afraid, they are afraid!"

Sheinbaum Pardo repeated the arguments he says in his mass events. He recalled former President Vicente Fox and his criticism of social programs, which also generated gossip and mother's lies.

When mentioning the achievements in education with scholarships for students, the virtual presidential candidate launched a half-truth: "We have young people in schools, we don't have young people linking to crime. There are scholarships for low-income young people, there is support in the country."

In the same way, he assured that he changed the way of hiring workers: "outsourcing is no longer allowed and now there are more formal workers with social security and a unique public health system is being created in the world. Here in this country, access to health is not a right. In Mexico it is already constitutional and the IMSS welfare is being created."

Before the massive act, Claudia Sheinbaum was received among truncheons, mariachis, dances, flowers and even a teddy bear given to her by her followers. One of them yelled at him: "Claudia, don't shut up to fail!"
