National Campaign to Restore DACA's Advance Parole 2019 Report
We are pleased to publish our 2019 National Campaign to Restore DACA’s Advance Parole Report, to document our accomplishments and pledge to continue leading in 2020 the struggle to reverse the government’s discriminatory practices against Dreamers. Moreover, this report also outlines our commitment to advocate for mental health services that are direly needed by immigrant communities throughout the U.S., due to the fear and emotional suffering induced by the government’s persecution.
We also want to thank again our sponsors and donors for their generosity, and all the senators and congress members that signed letters in support of restoring DACA’s Advance Parole throughout 2019.

HSU "Dreamers Aquí y Allá" play
The 3rd staging of our play "Dreamers: Aquí y Allá" was performed at Humboldt State University and Professor Armando Vazquez-Ramos and Lidieth Arevalo were invited to lecture after the performances on December 12, 13 and 14, 2019.

The Department of Theatre, Film & Dance presents the Humboldt County premiere of “Dreamers: Aquí y Allá” on Friday, Dec. 6. The production at HSU marks only the third time the play has been presented to audiences.
The play, first produced at CSU Long Beach in 2018, was presented as a collaboration between Andrea Caban and students as well as material provided by Professor Armando Vazquez-Ramos and the California-Mexico Studies Center. The play was also produced at CSU Bakersfield where it was described as “an eye-opening experience that everyone needs to have.”

To mark the 50th anniversary of Catolicos por La Raza’s historic protest for church reform we would like to invite you to celebrate with us this landmark commemoration on Saturday January 11, 2020 from 2 to 5pm at the legendary Church of the Epiphany (2808 Altura St., Los Angeles, CA 90031) https://epiphanyla.net/history-2/.
We are inviting to this reunion all survivors of the CPLR case defended by Oscar Zeta Acosta, their families and activists from that important era of the Chicano Movement, to convene for a conversation and celebration over food and spirits.

The exhibition Días de la Raza was originated by the California-Mexico Studies Center (CMSC) and was inaugurated by Dr. Vianka R. Santana, General Director of the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT), on October 12, 2019 (Día de la Raza) as the final activity of the International Conference Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of Chicano Studies, celebrated at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF) and CECUT from October 8-12, 2019, in collaboration with San Diego State University, COLEF, CECUT and CMSC.
Días de la Raza will be exhibited until Sunday, January 19, 2020.
