Note: Muhammad Ali dedicated this photo to Prof. Armando Vazquez-Ramos, CEO & President of the California-Mexico Studies Center. When Prof. Vazquez-Ramos met Ali in 1985 as Executive Director of El Centro de la Raza in Long Beach, he dedicated this image and agreed to serve as the Honorary Chair for the Mexican Relief Fund, organized to help the victims of Mexico City’s massive earthquake in September 1985.
Muhammad Ali ‘s passing is cause for us to mourn the loss of our generation’s hero, but those of us in our 60’s from the 60’s celebrate how he inspired us and that he’ll live forever !
