Michael Aranda
Michael Angelo Aranda Arce is a dedicated advocate for social justice and liberation, with a deep commitment to restorative justice and educational empowerment. Born to undocumented parents from Mexicali, Baja California, and Xalisco, Nayarit, michael’s passion for learning about his Mexican heritage and addressing the underrepresentation of Mexican culture and history inspired him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Chicano/Latino Studies from California State University, Long Beach. His academic journey, combined with lived experiences, has driven his career toward dismantling systemic inequalities, particularly those affecting marginalized youth.
Michael’s work at CMSC and beyond is guided by his belief in the power of education, cultural exchange, and restorative practices to create a more just and equitable future. He remains committed to advancing opportunities for systems-impacted youth and fostering meaningful collaborations across borders to promote justice, liberation, and self-determination.
