In front of these young people who returned to Mexico for the first time in the summer of 2021, after being taken to the United States during childhood, the president said that her visit to the country's capital means that the country's capital is a hospitable city that recognizes the Rights of migrants in the American Union.

"I am very pleased that you are here today, it represents your visit to Mexico City, our affection, our love for all the countrymen who live in the United States; it represents that Mexico, Mexico City is a hospitable city; it represents the struggle of the Fourth Transformation for the recognition of the Rights of migrants in the United States and the struggle we are giving in places where we are. And it also represents that this, Mexico City, is the capital of all Mexicans, wherever they are," she said.

Leading the presentation of the book "Anthology of dreams of an impossible journey" - which compiles a selection of the best essays of more than 200 Dreamers - Claudia Sheinbaum explained that many millions of Mexican men and women have had to migrate with their children to the United States mainly out of necessity, which makes them heroines and heroes for facing a life without Rights and with the fear of being found by a migration officer.

"That they have experienced inexplicable racism because Mexican men contribute a lot to the economy of the United States, that's why I say inexplicable. They are heroes and heroines because they not only sustain the economy of the United States, but in a lot they support Mexico's economy."

The head of government explained that during the meetings of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador with his counterpart in the United States, Joe Biden, the rights of Mexicans living on the other side of the border have been manifested.

The General Coordinator of Advisors and International Affairs, Diana Alarcón González, said that for some of the Dreamers it is their first visit to Mexico City, for which she was grateful that the Government of Mexico City was taken into account to accompany the presentation of the Anthology towards the end of their trip to Mexico.

"We are looking forward to meeting you again on many other trips to this city, to welcome you if you decide to return to Mexico, but also with the illusion of keeping in touch with you in the cities where you live," he said.

The president and director of the California-Mexico Study Center and compiler of the "Anthology of dreams of an impossible journey", Armando Vázquez Ramos, paid a post-mortem tribute to lawyer Jorge González, who managed through a lawsuit that the United States Government, in charge of President Joe Biden, approve the permits of 215 young dreamers to come to Mexico in 2021, while this year 200 more returned, to which will be added three more groups that will arrive in December and January 2023.

"And by the end of the year we will be able to have managed to bring 700 of these young people to Mexico, who have lasted many up to 30 years to be able to return. So this book is about how this struggle has been achieved and we have here, in us, the widow of Jorge, a great friend, who was the one who recently passed away and I invited her to present this book," he said.

The general director of Telecomm, Rocío Mejía Flores, explained that the Government of Mexico City, headed by Sheinbaum Pardo, has done everything possible and impossible for the advancement of young people and migrants, which goes hand in hand with the policy of the Government of Mexico; so it is an ideal context for dreamers to make their lives in Mexico or the United States.

The event was also attended by the vice president of the California-Mexico Study Center, Gonzalo Santos; the Secretary of Education, Science and Technology, Rosaura Ruiz Gutiérrez; the Secretary of Women, Ingrid Gómez Saracíbar; the Secretary of Tourism, Nathalie Desplas Puel; the Secretary of Culture, Claudia Curiel de Icaza; the bilingual counselor in Los Angeles and widow of lawyer Jorge González, Maribel González; the executive director of Arizona, Dream Act Coalition, Karina Ruiz; and the fellow of the United States Capitol, Citlalli Ortiz, in addition to young dreamers.
